Tell me about yourself

I’m a 35 year old Greek-Cypriot guy living in London. I’m a huge Sci-Fi geek and go crazy when I meet cats! My husband and I have been together for almost 11 years now and we enjoy CrossFit, watching films and travelling the globe.

Style is what for you?

I would say that for me Style is about a look that you feel comfortable with and self confidence is also part of that look and comfort, from grooming down to clothing.

How you keep your life balance?

Well to relieve daily stress from work, I have to workout 5-6 times a week. I usually workout in the morning before work so that I feel energetic and motivated for the whole day (plus it also frees up my evenings). I do benefit from alone time every now and then, by either playing games or watching some Star Trek.

How you keep your body fit?

So out of those sessions per week, I like to do half CrossFit and the other half weightlifting at the gym. I like the additional activity to mix things up during my routines and also improve on areas that I feel could be better.

Tell me about your before & after process?

For many years I had always worked out at the gym, either alone or with a friend. But eventually I was getting bored with just weightlifting and it started to feel like a chore. Then I discovered CrossFit which changed the game for me. At first it was outside of my comfort zone; in groups and cardio or gymnastic type exercises which weren’t my strong suit. But what came with CrossFit is the community which is the icing on the cake. They help encourage you to do your best and you look forward to seeing them at the next WOD. The changes to my body were noticeable quite quickly. I lost body fat in areas which I struggled to lose for years. 

Tell me about your diet plan

I eat 4 times a day, lots of eggs (boiled or omelet) for breakfast, then high protein foods such as chicken, salmon or steak with broccoli, sweet potato or rice at lunch, late afternoon and in the evening.

Tell me about your fitness plan

My aim has always been to lose fat and gain muscle so I have found that splitting the 6 workouts equally between CrossFit with weightlifting has also helped me to tone and build my body the way I want.  

Do you like travel? Which places you like?

I LOVE to travel all over. My friends make fun of me as I’m hardly in London, especially as its so easy to go on a weekend break to somewhere in Europe. I loved Thailand and Cambodia, but also Brazil, Portugal and Spain (you can see that there is a beach influence there).

What are your future projects?

Well I still feel like I haven’t explored enough yet. I’m going to the Philippines in November for my birthday and Brazil for Christmas and New Year. But who knows, maybe kids will come into the picture soon…
