Interview with German Model Felix Hartmann

1. Please talk about yourself

Hey guys! my name is Felix (my friends are calling me Dyer), I’m 24 years old and living in the near of Hamburg (Germany).

2. Talk about your fashion journey

In 2014 I started a training as a media agent for digital and print and at the same time I endorse my first modeling contract with my motheragency MODELWERK in Hamburg. In this time, there wasn’t so much space for modeling because of my training. Nevertheless I get a few jobs and could earn some experencies. In the last two years I make fashion shows, online shootings, editorials and also a campaign in Turkey. So it was a really good choice to do it in addition to my normal job. In this period I also signed with other agencies in Mailand, Istanbul and Shanghai. After finishing my training in January I started as a full time model. And now I am in Istanbul. It’s a great city with lovely people … You have to visit it!

3. How you describe your style

My style depends on my daily mood. Actually I’m wearing skinny jeans with chelsea boots and oversize shirts or cardigans (like the most of fashion people). But not to much oversize please! Also classic shirts with a pullover over it and a nice coat. But there are also days where I love it to wear a big hoodies, baggy pants with skinny end and my adidas NMD!

4. Give us some modelling tips

One important thing is the criticism – don’t take it personally. That was the first thing I had to learn. As a model you’re just a product, which the clients are looking for. Sometimes (even realy often) you aren’t this type the client is searching for. So those decissions aren’t against you as a person, only against your type as a model.
Another tip is to be yourself. Clients notice it, if you’re just acting or trying to be someone else. Just spread positive vibes!

5. What is your advice for our readers

I like the sentence “Be yourself; everybody else is already taken” from Oscar Wilde.
